Owner Glenn Jampol is a member of the Board of Directors of The International Ecotourism Society and President of the National Chamber of Ecotourism of Costa Rica. Because of the attention to ecology, the resort and adjacent coffee farm are sanctuaries to many indigenous and migrant birds, and bird watchers worldwide have discovered this protected private reserve where nature abounds protected and unmolested.

Glenn is also an artist who has exhibited his work since 1974 in the United States, Germany and Costa Rica. As such, he has commissioned local artists to adorn many walls and fixtures with Costa Rican art - scenes of wildlife and the culture.
